Online 1-on-1 Lesson Policies
Tuition
For weekly/biweekly students, tuition is due on the 1st of each month and will be automatically billed through the Make Music Studio app. Tuition reserves a recurring spot on the teaching schedule, and monthly payments remain the same regardless of the number of lessons scheduled within a given month.
A la carte lessons are purchased in four-lesson packages. Students schedule lessons individually from the available appointment times on the Make Music Studio app. Once all four lessons have been used, the package renews automatically for another four lessons, and the applicable package fee is charged.
Tuition payments are final, and are non-refundable.
Studio Closures & Holidays
Planned studio closures and holiday breaks will be communicated upon enrollment and in advance of each new calendar years. There will be approximately 10-12 weeks off each calendar year, and these dates are factored into the annual teaching and tuition structure.
Cancellations and Missed Lessons
Weekly students receive four tuition credits per calendar year to accommodate occasional absences. To use a tuition credit, please provide at least 24-48 hours notice before your scheduled session. When tuition credit is used, I will adjust the tuition fee for the following month. Once all four credits have been used, monthly tuition remains due in full for the remainder of the calendar year, even if additional sessions are missed
Biweekly students receive two tuition credits per calendar year. The same notice requirements and tuition policy apply as weekly. Once both credits have been used, monthly tuition remains due in full for the remainder of the year, even if additional sessions are missed.
A la carte students schedule lessons individually from the available appointment times on Make Music Studio. Rescheduling requests require 24-48 hours, and are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in the loss of the lesson credit.
Practice
A minimum of 20 minutes of practice, five days is required for students. While it’s understandable that some weeks will be harder than others, consistent effort is expected. Students that are not able to meet practice expectations on a regular basis may result in termination of lessons.
Supplies/Materials
Please make sure that you bring a working guitar, picks, assigned method books and other materials to each lesson. All students will have a Muzie.live student portal where I will document lesson notes, share files and materials, and online lesson rooms.
Additionally, you must have a device with a working mic and camera along with high speed internet. Laptops and computers are best…I do not recommend tablets or phones as they often aren’t reliable and have more issues.
Discontinuing/Program Change
If you wish to discontinue your coaching sessions, you must provide a month’s notice. This will allow us to wrap up progress and open your slot up to another student. If you wish to change to different Freedom Guitar program, please inform me as soon as you can, and we can discuss the potential options.
