In-Person Group Lesson Policies

Tuition

  • Tuition is due the 1st of each month, and will be auto-billed on the Make Music Studio app. Payments remain the same regardless of the amount of lessons taken in a month.

  • I will provide studio closure dates to students upon enrollment, as well as leading up to the beginning of the next calendar year.

  • Tuition payments are final, and are non-refundable.

Studio Closures & Holidays

  • Planned studio closures and holiday breaks will be communicated upon enrollment and in advance of each new calendar years. There will be approximately 10-12 weeks off each calendar year, and these dates are factored into the annual teaching and tuition structure.

Cancellations and Missed Lessons

  • All group students receive unlimited make up sessions, but only if they provide at least 24 hours notice. Exceptions can be made for unique and extenuating circumstances.

  • Students can use their make up credits whenever is convenient, however, unused make up credits reset at the beginning of the next calendar year, so please plan accordingly.

  • In the event I have to cancel an unplanned class, I will credit the next month’s tuition.

Inclement Weather

  • In the case that it is not safe to travel to my home for your guitar session due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, coaching sessions will conducted online via Muzie.live. I will keep tabs on the weather and make a final decision as soon as possible to alert students.

    Practice

  • A minimum of 15-20 minutes of practice, five days is expected for students. While it’s understandable that some weeks will be harder than others, consistent effort is expected.

    Supplies/Materials

  • Please make sure that you bring a working guitar, picks, assigned method books and other materials to each lesson. All students will have a Muzie.live student portal where I will document lesson notes, share files and materials, and online lesson rooms.

Discontinuing/Program Change

  • If you wish to discontinue your coaching sessions, you must provide a month’s notice. This will allow us to wrap up progress and open your slot up to another student. If you wish to change to a different Freedom Guitar program, please inform me as soon as you can, and we can discuss the potential options.
